Roman Sunset - "While touring Rome, I saw amazing architectural sights. Envision a sunset as it falls over the Colosseum and the ancient Roman ruins." Here are some photos that I took of the Colosseum and surrounding area   in August 2001. After arriving in Rome on a late summer afternoon and checking into my hostel, my goal was to find  the Colosseum. Taking numerous twists and turns, I rounded the corner of the last street, and lo and behold, stood a literally glowing Colosseum--awe inspiring and majestic. Some of these views inspired the song. The song conveys  the mood of a setting sun and quieting night, as the slivers of light slowly fade into darkness.
