The complex is spread over two city blocks and is built on the former site of the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Donaldson%27s\">Donaldson&#8217;s<\/a> department store. The &#8220;State Fare&#8221; food court is home to the single <a href=\"www.aboutmcdonalds.com\">McDonald&#8217;s<\/a> in downtown Minneapolis. It&#8217;s fine when I have a lunchtime craving, but doesn&#8217;t even come close to the revamped\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/money\/industries\/food\/2011-05-06-mcdonalds-revamp_n.htm\">McDonald&#8217;s designs with the yellow brow arch<\/a>.\u00a0I miss the food and crew at &#8220;the Arch&#8221; on the corporate campus!<\/p>\n<p><a style=\"font-style:normal;line-height:24px;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/joecurry\/6974398668\/in\/photostream\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"Gaviidae Common\" src=\"http:\/\/farm8.staticflickr.com\/7087\/6974398668_1d251ff388_z.jpg\" alt=\"Gaviidae Common\" width=\"427\" height=\"640\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0365.118 Gaviidae Common is a shopping center in downtown Minneapolis anchored by Neiman Marcus and Saks Off Fifth.
