Elk Point, S.D., native Joe Curry has released a second CD of his piano music, titled In Focus, and will perform his music in Elk Point on Nov. 28. The music, Curry said, is meant to paint pictures for the listener. “My tagline is ‘piano music that paints a picture’. Every song has a story, and I want people to be able to feel and envision the meanings of my music,” Curry said.

The 14-song CD is a follow-up to his 1999 effort Milestones, and was recorded in Minneapolis, where Curry now lives and works in public relations.

The CD is available at the Sioux City Art Center, Nook ‘n Cranny in Vermillion, S.D., and at Pioneer Drug in Elk Point. He’ll perform a free concert Friday, Nov. 28, at 7 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Elk Point, where he first introduced the public to his music.
