Piano music that paints a picture (SM)
Midnight Clear
Midnight Clear includes piano arrangements of well-loved Christmas songs, and for the first time, I recorded with several talented musicians, who provided instrumental accompaniment.
Listening to the CD, you will be able to “paint a picture” of a warm, crackling fire melting away the winter weather and a blanket of crisp, white snow outside. The CD has quiet, tender moments and energetic, upbeat numbers. I had a blast recording this project. Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year, and the music always puts me in a good mood. I think you’ll like it, too.

In Focus
It’s interesting to note how the choices we make shape our future. In college, I realized the importance of setting goals and following dreams. However, if you find your goals and road maps have transformed, it’s okay to change course. Studying abroad in Spain and backpacking through European countries was an intense time of personal growth and reflection for me. It was this experience that inspired “Three Shadows,” which I began composing in a music shop in Paris. Each of my songs has a story, which you can paint with your imagination. This album is about noticing the finer details in life while at the same time being aware of the big picture. May you find your passion, and keep it In Focus.

Milestones
In 1998, I became interested in the challenge of making a CD before I finished high school. Several people had shared interest in my music and said they would like a recording if I ever made one. As I began completing more songs, I investigated the process of making a CD, and I released my first album in May 1999.
I sincerely hope that you enjoy my music. Whether you’re listening to the music or playing it on the piano, invoke your imagination and try to feel each song. Making Milestones has truly been a wonderful experience. Thanks for all your support.
